In week one we were introduced to some of the software's which we would use for the duration of the course. Photo shop was the main software used, we were given basic tutorials on how to use the software. For example were the tools are located and what the functions are for some of them. one of the most difficult tools was the crop tool,
at first the tool was tricky to adjust with, however once I understood what was required from the session and with the help of the class tutor, I was able to complete and understand the session. We were also introduced to our directory, for example files on the computers where our named was saved, allowing us easy access each time I save my work and log in.
We were informed about the group work required later on during the course. This session was beneficial for the class to get to know each other and feel comfortable using simple software's such as photoshop. Throughout the session I was able to understand the particular functions of photoshop and how to apply them if i was using it for the group work.
Photoshop enabled us to prepare for next week were we had to bring in images, to later manipulate them and create effects using photoshop.
Problems Encountered:
From previous use of the Photoshop Software, new updates had been made (cs4). This slowed me down and took some time for me to understand the changes.
Group Update: Our Group consisted of three members within the class's, Myself Niyan Shukir, Rebecca Mangaroo and Aneeka Rashad.
