Week 2- Manipulating Images, and Understanding File Types

In Week Two, I brought in a few images and a Digital camera, the purpose of this was to experiment capturing and shooting images. Once I had completed this I had uploaded the images into Photoshop.

In Photoshop I was able to Manipulate the images using various selection tools and effects, for example the glow tool, the crop tool, the contrast tool, stamp tool, healing brush etc. I found it interesting to be able experiment with the tools for the images and creating effects to the images, enabled me to feel more confident using Photoshop as it is a software I have used briefly before.

Moreover, we were taught how to save our work properly using the appropriate file type, the images could then be saved into a jpeg files so it would be available when using Adobe Flash.

Problems Encountered: Some of the images I had taken on my digital camera was not uploading on the pc, this was due to the images uploading automatically to iphotos instead of finding the files in my home applications.

Group Update: As a group we were already familiar with each other from previous lectures, during the second week we discussed our project theme issues such as, sexual health, bulling and domestic violence. We then considered the options for our final, such as a presentation, movie etc.
