A vector image uses geometrical formulas to represent the images. bitmaps is an image made up of pattern dots, the advantage of vector graphics is that it requires less memory than bitmaps, therefore vectors it is has more of an advantage compared to bitmaps. it can be easily stretched and is less pixilated.

we continued with Photoshop coming to grips with the tools and playing around with images. We later began working with Adobe illustrator, creating scalable graphics. I was able to understand the basic principles of adobe illustrator, the software package is suitable for designing and illustrating, allowing us to modify and rescale most objects without loosing the quality of the image itself. Towards the end of the session i was much more confident using photoshop and developed new skills in a new software such as Adobe illustrator.

Problems Encountered: As this was a completely new software, some mistakes did occur with Illustrator, however after careful listening, I was able to complete tasks assigned during the workshops.
Group Update: We individually researched on the topics mentioned in week 2, so I researched, issues on domestic Violence within the UK, I continued researching using online statistics and books explaining the issues raised in Domestic violence and how it is viewed by society through the media .i.e. TV adverts, posters, magazine articles.
